According to the decree 00557/MINT issued by the National Port Authority (NPA), effective from11th July 2006, all seaport entrances to Cameroon must apply for BESC certificate with the aim to trace goods entering the country.
Since 01/01/2022, any ECTN must be validated no later than two (2) days before the arrival of the cargo in Cameroon. Otherwise you will risk PENALTIES at the landing port.
In February 2023, the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) implemented an increase in the cost for the regularization of an Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN). The cost increased to 200% of the ECTN value.
On February 6th, 2024, the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC) has updated its pricing policy for Motorbikes – Motorbikes will be charged at the same rate as Chassis and will be entered into the system as Chassis.
